Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RUHLai platform and services operated by RUHLai inc. (“RUHLai”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

RUHLai provides building energy and Local Law 97 (“LL97”) analysis for New York City buildings, including a free preliminary PreCheck, a paid full building report (a company-branded PDF), and related advisory outputs. Analysis is derived from public NYC disclosure data (LL84, PLUTO) and engineering models.

2. Advisory estimates — not engineering certification

All figures (emissions, fines, savings, costs, paybacks) are advisory estimates based on public data and modelling assumptions. They are not a stamped engineering study, a guarantee of compliance, or financial or legal advice. Verify any figure with a licensed professional before acting on it. RUHLai is not liable for decisions made solely on these estimates.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Purchases & payment

The full building report is a one-time purchase ($99). Prices are in U.S. dollars and shown at checkout. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card details. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Intellectual property

The platform, models, and report templates are RUHLai's intellectual property. Your purchased report is licensed to you for your own business use, including adding your company branding. Underlying public datasets remain the property of their sources.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no scraping, reverse-engineering, reselling the data feed, or using the platform to violate any law. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RUHLai's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
